Looking for Career Guidance in Cloud Computing

Hey everyone! I've just wrapped up my second year in college, where I'm studying Computer Science with a focus on Cloud Computing. I'm really keen on getting some career advice from those of you who have been in the field. What kind of roles should I be gearing up for? Before this, I've worked on a few decent projects, although none related to cloud specifically. Right now, I'm interning as an SDET-QA at a well-known product company, and I'm hoping to gain some cloud experience too. I'd love to hear your insights and suggestions. Thanks a ton!

You're in a great position already! With your CS degree, QA internship, and specialized focus on cloud, you’ve laid a solid foundation. For cloud roles, consider starting with DevOps or cloud support jobs since they provide hands-on experience with infrastructure and tools like CI/CD. It's also crucial to brush up on Linux and scripting languages such as Bash or Python if you haven't yet. Getting some basic experience with platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP will help too—start small by deploying simple applications using tools like Terraform or Kubernetes. Don't forget to document your projects on GitHub; showing off what you're learning can really set you apart. And if you’re looking for community support, check out places like KubeCraft for practical advice!

Thanks! I'm currently learning scripting and automation right now, and I'll start building projects as soon as I have a solid foundation.
