Hey everyone! I'm on the hunt for a good calculator. I really liked the Windows calculator because it has a clean design. While it does offer advanced features, I mostly prefer the simpler layout without all the complexity.
I'm looking for suggestions for a calculator that can handle basic operations like addition, multiplication, division, and parentheses. I don't need anything too complicated—just the essentials! I've seen some mentions of Qcalculate, but it seems like it's a bit more than I need. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

What distro are you using? If you’re on Plasma, the default app launcher can do basic math operations. Honestly, it might be all you need without installing an extra app. Krunner is a great option too!
Have you considered KCalc? It’s straightforward and should meet your needs for basic calculations!
Speedcrunch might be a good fit! You can adjust the view settings to make it as simple or as advanced as you like.
Have you checked out gnome-calculator? It’s pretty solid and has a clean interface. Some people really like it, and I think it might fit what you're looking for. You could also customize the theme if you want it to look nicer!
Yeah, gnome-calculator is nice! Just wondering if there are other options that might look even better though.
I'm using Arch with Plasma, actually. I’ll check out the default calculator!
