I'm currently using a Ryzen 4500 with an RTX 5050 and I'm facing some performance issues. I often try to play games while watching YouTube, and it's really struggling. I've been considering upgrading to the Ryzen 5800XT, but I've heard that the Ryzen 5500 could work just fine too. What do you all think? Which CPU should I go for?

Just out of curiosity, how much RAM do you have? A minimum of 16GB is crucial nowadays, especially with games. If you’re not there yet, upgrading might be necessary. I suggest the 5700X; it's efficient. But keep in mind that the 5800XT can run hotter, so check if your cooler can handle it. You might also need to update your BIOS for the 5800XT since it’s a newer chip.

I have 32GB of RAM already, and I've just updated my BIOS when I began looking into new CPUs. Is there a significant difference between the 5700X and the 5800X?

I'd recommend going for the Ryzen 5700X or the 5800X. I actually got a 5800X on eBay recently for a pretty good price. Look for the cheapest option that meets your needs.
