I'm trying to set up an email forwarding solution where I own a domain and want any emails sent to that domain to get automatically forwarded to another existing email. For example, emails sent to [email protected] should land in [email protected]. I'm not looking to create mailboxes at the forwarding domain, and I want to keep my current domain and registrar. Essentially, I just want to adjust my MX record to point to a service that accomplishes that. I used to use domains.com for this, but they no longer offer it to new customers. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

It sounds like you might be a bit off with the terminology. Instead of looking for basic forwarding, you might want to explore domain aliasing through your current mail provider. Most providers like Fastmail, Office 365, and Google Workspace support this.
Exactly! You can set the MX records for your fwddomain to match those of your recdomain, and then configure the receiving server to handle that additional domain. You might need to add a TXT or CNAME record to verify ownership, but I've managed this with O365 and Google Apps successfully.
