Hey everyone in the AEC industry! I'm looking for a solid enterprise-level solution to extract or back up data from Autodesk Construction Cloud and BIM 360. A client of mine is having issues with their data retention policies due to the lack of reliable backup tools for Autodesk cloud data. They reached out to Veeam, but it seems like they're not very knowledgeable about Autodesk services. Has anyone else faced this problem, and if so, how did you tackle it?

Honestly, it feels like we're all just waiting and hoping right now. Besides Clarity, there really isn't much out there for proper backups. Best to keep your local copies up to date as best as you can.
There’s a tool called IMAGINiT Clarity that might help. It’s mainly for automating tasks within ACC, but you can use it to download files hosted there. It may not be a full backup solution, but it could serve as a temporary fix until something better comes along. You can check it out at their website!
You might want to directly reach out to Autodesk. They could provide some guidance on tools or third-party solutions that might work, or let you know about any products they have that address your needs. Just keep in mind, if they don't have APIs for third-party vendors like Veeam to use, it might be tough to find a good solution.

Just a heads up, Clarity only exports files to PDF format, so it’s not really a backup tool for .rvt files.
