Hi everyone! I'm super excited to dive into building my very first PC. After my gaming laptop bit the dust, I thought it was the perfect time to go for this apparently thrilling, yet somewhat wasteful, experience of building a desktop. Here's what I'm considering for components: I tried to adjust the prices to what's available in my area, with Amazon being my main supplier since it avoids the hefty 20% sales tax here. Though, unfortunate for the GPU as it still carries a higher price tag. Just a heads up – I'm keeping the cost for each item under $200 to dodge those nasty customs and taxes which can reach about 22-25%.
Here's my potential build:
- **CPU:** AMD Ryzen 5 7600 3.8 GHz 6-Core Processor - $197.00
- **CPU Cooler:** Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE - $34.90
- **Motherboard:** MSI PRO B650-S WIFI ATX AM5 - $135.97
- **Memory:** TEAMGROUP T-Force Vulcan 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 - $96.99
- **Storage:** KingSpec XF 2 TB NVMe SSD - $106.99
- **Video Card:** ASRock Steel Legend Radeon RX 9070 XT 16 GB - $934.90
- **Case:** ADATA XPG STARKER AIR ATX Mid Tower - $86.00
- **Power Supply:** Corsair RM750x 750 W - $134.99
- **Monitor:** Samsung Odyssey OLED G8 27" 3840 x 2160 - $1030.00
- **Keyboard:** Logitech G713 RGB Gaming Keyboard - $99.99
**Total:** $2857.73
I'd love to hear your thoughts on whether this build is balanced or if you would suggest any changes!

Hey! Your build looks pretty solid overall. I noticed that the RTX 5070 Ti might be a good consideration if you can find it priced similarly to your current GPU. The performance in 4K gaming can be a bit tricky with the 9070 XT, and using FSR might not always yield the smoothest experience. Just a heads up! Also, the 9600x is only slightly more expensive than the 7600 after customs, so it could be worth considering if you want to explore more options.
You’ve got a great foundation! I went ahead and tweaked a few components to offer a boost for you. I recommend using an AMD Ryzen 7 7700 for better performance, and I swapped in an 850W PSU to give you more headroom. Also, I found some slightly cheaper RAM without sacrificing quality. Here’s a link to my modified list! [PCPartPicker Part List](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/HCGR6Q) Total comes to about $2888.72. Let me know what you think!
Awesome, thanks for the suggestions! I appreciate you sharing a modified list. I might need to look for a CPU on Aliexpress since anything above $200 gets taxed by Amazon, which complicates things a bit. Your PSU and RAM choices sound really solid, thanks again!
Thanks for the input! I'll definitely check out the 5070 Ti. The pricing issue with Nvidia here is a real pain, but it's good to have options. As for the 9600x, yeah, I think the 7600 still stands as a solid choice considering the customs costs. Appreciate the advice!
