I've recently moved to Japan and need to set up a new PC for my daily work in game development, along with gaming and content creation. My goal is to build a system that can handle intensive tasks and remain relevant for years. My previous setup lasted seven years, so I'm looking for solid performance with the capability to keep up with future industry updates. Here's the configuration I'm considering:

- **CPU**: AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D
- **GPU**: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070
- **Motherboard**: MSI MAG X850 TOMAHAWK WIFI MAX
- **Memory (RAM)**: 1x Kingston Fury Beast DDR5 64GB (2x32GB) 6000MT/s CL36 (AMD EXPO)
- **Storage**: 2x Biwin X570 Gen5 NVMe SSD (2TB each)
- **Power Supply**: Corsair RM850x (850W, 80+ Gold)
- **CPU Cooler**: Corsair iCUE LINK TITAN 360 RX RGB (360mm AIO)
- **Case**: Either an HYTE Y70 Touch Infinite case or a Fractal North case
- **Case Fans**: 6x Lian Li UNI FAN AL120 V2

I'll be assembling everything myself, but I want to make sure that all components will work well together and that there won't be any compatibility issues. I'd love to hear if you think this build will last me 7 to 10 years, and if there are any parts you think I should reconsider based on your experiences!

Just a quick correction, B860 is for Intel CPUs, so make sure you're looking for a B850 for your AMD setup. That's an easy mistake to make!

Good catch! I’ll search for a nice B850 board since the B870s are a bit pricey.

Hey! Your build looks solid! Just a heads up, it's worth checking how Intel CPUs perform with your software, just in case you decide to switch it up in the future. About the GPU, the RTX 5070 has 12 GB of VRAM, so think about whether that will be enough for your needs. You might want to consider the 5060 Ti for slightly more VRAM at a potentially lower price, but the 5070 Ti can be pretty pricey!

Thanks for the tips! I initially thought about going for an i9 CPU but chose AMD for better energy efficiency. I appreciate the note about VRAM too; I’ll definitely look into alternatives like the 5060 Ti!
