Hey everyone! I'm looking to upgrade my GPU to game at 1440p with max settings without running into any bottlenecks. Here's my current setup:
- CPU: i5 11400F
- RAM: 16 GB DDR4 3600MHz
- Current GPU: GTX 1630 (picked it up during the pandemic)
- PSU: 550W
- Storage: 256GB NVMe SSD, 1TB HDD
I'm open to all brands and really need your suggestions for future-proof options. My budget is around $300 to $400. Thanks for any recommendations!

If you're aiming just for pure raster performance without ray tracing, that changes things a bit. Still, 1440p at max settings might push your system hard. Stick with maybe the RTX 3060 Ti or 3070—they're decent choices for your budget and should give you a good upgrade, as long as you keep your settings reasonable!
Upgrading to 1440p max settings with your current setup is going to be tricky. You'll want to consider a GPU that's strong enough, but don’t forget, your 550W PSU might limit you. For your budget, I'd suggest looking at the RTX 3060 Ti or 3070 as solid options. They can handle 1440p pretty well! Just remember to check if you need a PSU upgrade too.
Honestly, it might not be realistic to hit 1440p max settings on your rig without doing a bigger overhaul. If you want to keep your current PSU, the highest I’d recommend is something like the 5070, but even that could struggle depending on the game. For a smoother experience, think about a full system upgrade down the road!

Thanks for the advice! I'll keep those in mind. Pure raster sounds good to me.
