Looking for Help Building a PC for Basic Use

Hey everyone! I'm looking to build a new PC using the AM5 platform. I've got my eye on the Liann Li A3 case, and I'd like some advice on the components. The main use for this PC will be casual web surfing, watching movies, and doing some personal photo editing in Photoshop—nothing too heavy since I won't be gaming at all.

I'm considering the AMD Ryzen 5 7500F for the processor, but I realized that it doesn't come with integrated graphics (GPU), and I'm wondering if that's a problem for my needs. Should I look for a CPU that has built-in graphics instead? What would be a good alternative to the 7500F?

Here's what I've put together so far:
- **CPU Cooler:** Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE
- **PSU:** FSP Hydro K Pro G5 850W PCIe5
- **Storage:** Kingston KC3000 500GB M.2 PCIe SSD for the OS
- **RAM:** Kingston FURY Beast 32GB (2x16GB) 6000MHz CL30 (EXPO)
- **GPU:** Sapphire RX6600 Pulse 8GB (second-hand)
- **Motherboard:** Biostar B650MT

Will everything fit in the Liann Li A3 case? Any feedback or suggestions appreciated!

If you’re not gaming at all, you might be better off with something simpler, like a mini PC. They’re often cheaper and would suit your needs just fine. Check out alternatives that have integrated GPUs if you're looking to save some space.

I'm open to any advice! Being able to get my setup for around 800 EUR would be awesome.

I actually have the same setup you mentioned with a Ryzen 5 7500F and an RX 6600, but it feels a bit like overkill for just editing and casual stuff. Consider this instead: Ryzen 5 8600G, 2x16GB RAM, a B650M motherboard, and a smaller SSD (256-512GB). This would be smoother for 4K videos too!

Thanks for the tips! Can that motherboard fit in the Liann Li A3?

For someone not gaming, thinking about a CPU with integrated graphics is smart. A Ryzen 7600X or even something from Intel’s 15th gen might be worth considering for your editing and casual use. Using pcpartpicker.com can really help you check if components work together as well!

Would switching to Intel mean I’d have to get a new motherboard too? I thought AMDs ran cooler.

Looks like you won't need a dedicated GPU since the 7500F doesn’t have integrated graphics. You could save some hassle by going for a CPU that does have an iGPU. Depending on prices, an Intel processor might fit your need better, especially for video work!

Great point! I’ll look for Intel options. Got any recommendations?
