Looking for Help to Build a Powerful PC on a €2000 Budget

I've been using the same PC for around 12 years, and it finally stopped working last year. I really need to upgrade but I'm overwhelmed by the sheer number of options out there. For example, what's the difference between an INNO3D GeForce RTX 5080 X3 OC and an MSI GeForce RTX 5080 16G VENTUS 3X OC? They both have 16GB and are from the same series, so why the huge price difference?

I want to start fresh with a budget of about €2000, potentially going over if it means getting better performance. My main goal is to have a system that can handle modern games at high graphics settings, ideally hitting around 144 FPS because I have a 144 Hz monitor. I'd prefer not to dive into 4K gaming, and quiet fans are important to me—water cooling could be a nice addition, but I'm not sure how noisy modern fans are compared to older ones.

Lastly, I'm aware RAM prices are high right now due to the AI boom—should I stick with my current 2 sticks of HyperX Fury DDR4 8GB for now? Thanks for any help!

You really don't need an RTX 5080 for 144Hz at 1440p gaming. A good GPU for that resolution will do just fine, and you can save some money by getting only 16GB of RAM now and adding more later. With a €2000 budget, you should be able to build a solid 1440p gaming rig that meets your needs without overspending.
