Looking for Help Upgrading My Gaming PC

Hey everyone! I built my compact PC a few years ago and have done some upgrades since then. My setup includes a Dan A4 v4 case, an RTX 2070, and a Ryzen 5600X (previously I had a Ryzen 2700). The motherboard is ROG Strix B450-I, but it's got some issues: the rear M.2 slot is broken, and I think one of the RAM slots got damaged when I was removing the CPU for cleaning. Right now, I have 16GB of 3600MHz RAM, and I might still have my old 2x8GB kit. I've got a 600W 80+ Gold PSU too. Lately, my PC has been crashing during gaming, which is a bit concerning. I'm looking for advice on which motherboard or platform I should upgrade to, keeping in mind I'd like to continue using the same case for portability. What are some good current-gen options that will also allow for future upgrades?

If you're looking for a more robust upgrade, you could consider going with an RX 6750 XT or an RX 6800 for a significant performance boost in gaming. Also, shifting to the AM5 platform could be worthwhile, but keep in mind that DDR5 RAM is quite pricey right now, so budget accordingly!

Thanks for the heads up! I was hoping to keep costs down, but I'll look into all my options.

Sounds like you're in need of a motherboard replacement, and considering your current setup, I'd suggest going for a one-to-one replacement for now. It might be the easiest way to ensure compatibility and get you back to gaming without major interruptions. Plus, you can look into upgrading other parts down the line!
