Looking for ITSM Solutions for SMB – Suggestions Needed!

Hey there, fellow sysadmins! We're on the hunt for a new ITSM solution to replace our current combo of Lansweeper and TeamViewer. We're managing 90 Windows endpoints and 50 users, and while we're generally satisfied, we think we can find something better as our Lansweeper contract is up for renewal this September. I really want to gather insights on what others are using to see if there are more efficient options out there for our needs.

Here's what we're looking for in a new system:

* Comprehensive asset inventory
* Ability for remote software deployment
* Effective patch management
* Unattended access and remote support
* A help desk system
* All these features should work seamlessly together
* Also, it would be pretty cool to have a company car, particularly one of those stylish Audi e-trons!

What we don't like about our current tools:

**TeamViewer** - While we're grandfathered into one perpetual license, it only allows for updates and shared access between two admins, which isn't ideal. The costs to buy another membership are high, and we aren't gaining any new features. Plus, it doesn't integrate smoothly with Lansweeper, resulting in a pretty disjointed experience.

**Lansweeper** - Not much to complain about; it offers excellent insights and outstanding reporting, but with parts of it moving to the cloud, it still feels a bit disconnected as some functions remain on-prem. I'm fine with renewing, but given the price increase this year, I want to explore other options too.

We're also struggling with patch management, which is largely handled through group policies and manual updates. I need to find a way to automate this, similar to how NinjaOne has it set up.

We're about to trial NinjaOne and Manage Engine/Zohos Service Desk Plus, but I heard SD+ might not have software deployment, so correct me if I'm wrong!

Budget-wise, we're looking to stay under $5800. While $10k is out of the question, we're currently at $2800 total (Lansweeper, our grandfathered TeamViewer, and some free internal tools). Any recommendations you have would be greatly appreciated!

Have you checked out Dameware Remote Connect? It's a solid choice for remote access and might be worth a look for your setup.

NinjaOne paired with Splashtop might be what you need! This combo has worked well for others. Just curious, why do you prefer using Splashtop instead of NinjaOne’s built-in remote app?

Action1 could be a great fit for you! It's free for under 201 endpoints and offers patch management, basic vulnerability management, and asset inventory. All these features come packaged with one agent, which is pretty convenient. Give it a shot!

Running a trial now. This looks promising. Thank you!
