I'm looking to buy a new phone and I have a few requirements. My last phone was the Xiaomi 11i, which I really liked, but I'm hoping to find something similar with an even better camera. Here's what I'm looking for:
- Fast charging capabilities
- A good camera for its price range
- A device that lasts around 3-4 years
- Battery life isn't a huge concern for me
I'm also considering purchasing a slightly older model (around 2-2.5 years old) since I think I can find a good deal at a discounted price. It seems like there aren't any significant updates in the newer phones, so I want to make the most of my budget. I'm open to suggestions on which phone to buy and would love to hear thoughts on buying second-hand devices.

I’m more focused on battery life and durability than having the latest specifications.
For a mid-range phone, look for something that has solid reviews for both camera quality and fast charging. If you're considering gently used phones, just make sure the condition is good and check the battery health!
I've had great experiences with Motorola phones, but a friend recommended checking out OnePlus. I tend to steer clear of Google phones due to privacy concerns, so I prefer alternatives whenever possible.
What's your budget? Knowing the max price you're willing to spend would really help in suggesting the best brand and model that fits your needs!
If you’re leaning towards Android, definitely check out Pixel phones. They deliver great value and have fantastic cameras. However, I’d say the regular iPhone 17 also offers excellent value if you can spend a bit more.
Absolutely, I've been using my Pixel for years and it's been great! Consider the 'a' versions too since they are usually cheaper.

Yeah, that makes sense, but how can you really tell the condition just from pictures and videos?
