Hey everyone! I'm gearing up to build a new PC optimized for gaming, particularly focusing on processor-heavy tasks. I'm pretty set on the CPU, but I could really use some help figuring out the motherboard. I'm looking for something that will let me maximize both my RAM and CPU's potential. Any tips you can offer would be greatly appreciated!

For motherboards, any B850 model that has the necessary ports and Wi-Fi capabilities should work well. Just steer clear of ASRock motherboards as they tend to have defects that could damage your CPU. Your current choice is good, but consider consolidating your storage to a large SSD and a high-capacity HDD to keep ports open for future expansions.

I was worried about drive failure affecting the whole system, but I get your point. Thanks!

You might want to think about why you have so many drives in your setup. I trimmed it down to just a couple of essential drives – 1 8TB SSD and 1 8TB HDD. Unless you have specific reasons for all those drives, simplifying can save money for better components!

The B850 Aorus Elite Wifi 7 is solid for your build. But I have a few questions: why so many SSDs? The Crucial P3 Plus isn't the best choice in terms of quality and reliability. Do you already have your HDDs on hand? Also, since your motherboard has built-in Wi-Fi, you may not need the extra adapter you're planning to buy.
