Hey everyone! My PC just gave up on me, likely due to a faulty combo of the 9800X3D and the Asrock X870E Nova motherboard. So now, I'm in the market for a new X870E board. I've been eyeing the MSI MAG X870E Tomahawk but I'm not a fan of the yellow coloring. Here are a few options I'm considering:
1. GIGABYTE X870E AORUS Elite X3D
2. MSI X870E Gaming Plus WiFi
3. MSI MAG X870 Tomahawk WiFi
I recently got a 7800X3D to pair with it. If you have any better suggestions, I'd love to hear them. I really like the MSI X870E Gaming Plus WiFi, but is there anything else I should know about it? Thanks for your help!

It would be great if you could specify your requirements when asking for recommendations. What do you consider 'best'?
- How many M.2 slots do you need?
- Any specific number of USB-C ports you're looking for?
I suggest checking out this Google Sheets comparison. You can delete rows until you narrow it down to the motherboards you’re considering. Make sure to check the last column to see if there’s any lane sharing. Also, don't forget to look at the B850 boards; the MSI MAG B850 Tomahawk MAX WiFi II has a more toned-down color scheme that might appeal to you, but I’m not sure when it’s set to release.
I'm curious why you're specifically looking for an X870E motherboard? Do you really need all the features it offers over the X870 or even the B650?
What do you mean by 'died because of the combination'? Is that a known issue with Asrock boards killing X3D CPUs?

Hey, I get that those features might not matter much for casual gaming, but I want to be ready for the future and get something solid. Do you have a motherboard in mind?
