Hey everyone! I'm new to PC building and am excited to dive in, especially since my friends are all getting new setups. I've done a bit of research and put together a build, but I'm looking for your thoughts on it. Are there any major red flags with my current selections? I'm hoping to stay around the $1500 mark, so if you have suggestions for a better video card or components, let me know! Here's the build link: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/XYxWdb. I really want to get started soon, so any help would be greatly appreciated!

Your current PSU has some reliability issues, so I swapped it for a highly-rated Adata 850W option with ATX 3.0 support, just a bit more expensive but worth it. For the case, I'd go with the Montech AIR for better airflow; it also comes with more fans, which is great for cooling. Also, if you want to save money on Windows, both 10 and 11 can be used for free with slight functionality limits, so that could save you around $100. To stay under $1500, consider downgrading to a 7800x3d or a cheaper CPU like the 9600x or 7600x if you're gaming. Let me know if you want to chat more about any of this!
Hey, just one more thing! For your monitor, make sure it matches up with the GPU you choose because it’ll totally affect your gaming experience. Happy building!
For your PSU, I think a 750W would be a smart choice since it's good to have a bit of a buffer. With what you’ve got using about 536W, rounding up gives you some headroom. For your GPU, budgeting about $500 is wise; you’re looking at options like the RTX 5060 TI or AMD 9060 XT, both good for 1440p gaming. Also, unless you need the absolute latest, a Gen4 SSD will do just fine, as the speed difference to Gen5 isn’t huge. Good luck with your build!
If you’re insisting on lowering the costs without sacrificing too much performance, the 7600x CPU should handle 1440p gaming decently. You might want to check out options for cheaper storage and a cooler. For the PSU, I’d recommend looking at a B-tier one or above from the tier list to ensure good quality.
Thanks for the tip! I’ll definitely look into that when making my final choices.
