Hey everyone! I'm in the process of building a new PC primarily for gaming and streaming, and I could really use some advice. I have some components picked out but I'm trying to keep costs in check while still making a cool setup. Here's what I have so far:
**Case:** Already have a Corsair iCUE 220T.
**PSU:** Considering the Cooler Master MWE Gold 750 V2 ATX 3.1 for around 89€.
**Motherboard:** I'm looking at options between the MSI B860M Gaming Plus WiFi, B850 Eagle WiFi 6E, or B850 Gaming Plus WiFi.
**CPU:** Planning on the AMD Ryzen 5 9600X, but I'm curious about the Ryzen 7.
**CPU Cooling:** I'm thinking about the Arctic Freezer 36A RGB.
**GPU:** Considering the RX 9070XT and the RTX 5070, but would appreciate some advice on this.
**Memory:** I have the Crucial T500 1TB for storage.
**RAM:** Torn between Kingston Fury DDR5 for 243€ or Corsair DDR4 for 208€.
**SSD:** I already have a Samsung 500GB and a 1TB external drive.
**Cooling:** I've got 3 fans from the case.
What I really need help with:
- **PSU:** Is 750W too much, and should I go modular?
- **CPU:** Do I really need the Ryzen 7, or is the Ryzen 5 sufficient for my needs?
- **GPU:** Are there more budget-friendly options that still deliver decent performance?
- **RAM:** Is 32GB overkill for what I want to do, and is the DDR5 option a good investment?
My budget without the GPU is around 860-900€, which feels steep these days. Thanks in advance for any tips or advice!

You can't mix RAM types with AM5; DDR5 is your only option. Your GPU selections are solid, just remember the 9070XT is better for VRAM-heavy games. Generally, you should be fine with a good quality 650W PSU unless you're planning a lot of upgrades. If you plan to stream, definitely consider the Ryzen 7 for those extra cores—it's worth it making that jump!
How intensive are the games you want to play? If you really want to run CPU-heavy games while streaming, the Ryzen 7 is worth the investment. It has more cores which help with multitasking. And about RAM, for most games, 32GB might be overkill, especially if you're not playing something very demanding. If you're into simulations, though, it can make a difference. Also, an Nvidia card could be beneficial if you're streaming, thanks to DLSS.
You definitely have to go with DDR5 for AM5, so the RAM choice should be straightforward. As for the PSU, you might actually be okay with a solid 650W model; 750W is more than enough. For the motherboard, just grab the cheapest option since they’re quite similar. Regarding your GPU, the RX 9070XT is pricier but if it's only about 30-40€ more, I say go for it. It's better overall but check the pricing to be sure!
So about 30€ more sounds reasonable. I'll definitely consider the 9070XT, thanks for that! Also, sticking to AM5 seems to make sense now.
What’s your total budget? You've got some great items lined up, but just curious about the final costs. Are you planning to keep it under 1500€?
Yeah, ideally I want to stick to 1500€, maybe a little more depending on the suggestions!
Just a quick heads-up—remember that memory refers to RAM and storage refers to your SSDs! It looks like you're building a decent rig. If you want a more optimized build, check this link: [sample build here](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/ysQNGk).
Haha, I always mix that up! Thanks for the link, I'll definitely check it out!

Thanks for clearing that up! I thought I might need to overshoot on the PSU, but now I feel better aiming for a 650W.
