Hey everyone! I'm about to build a new PC after nearly ten years with my old setup (a Ryzen 7 1700 and GTX 1080ti), and I'm in dire need of an upgrade. I was thinking of sticking mostly to Corsair and MSI parts, but I've had to swap out some components due to skyrocketing prices. My budget is around £1500, but I'd like to keep costs down as much as possible. Here's what I've got so far:
- Motherboard: MSI B850 Gaming Plus
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9700X
- RAM: Teamgroup T-Force Delta RGB 32GB (CL30 - 6000Mhz)
- GPU: Palit GamingPro OC RTX 5070
- Cooler: Corsair Nautilus 360 RS ARGB
- PSU: MSI Mag A850 (850W)
- Storage: WD Black SN7100 2TB
- Case: Corsair 3500X ARGB
Total: £1434
You can check out my part list [here](https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/vdD4zP).
I'd love to hear any thoughts on whether this is a good build or if you have suggestions for swapping out parts to bring the cost down. Just a heads up:
- I prefer tempered glass cases, but due to space restrictions, I'm limited to standard width mid-towers.
- I want to stick with RTX cards for ray tracing, so I'm not considering AMD GPUs.
- For storage, I'm looking for NVME options with at least 5000 MB/s read and write speeds.
- I may postpone buying the GPU and use my GTX 1080ti until I can afford a new one.

Your build looks solid! Just a heads up, Corsair tends to charge a premium for their brand. If you're okay with it, you could explore cheaper cooler options. For example, the 9700X is pretty efficient, so you might not need that 360mm AIO. But if you want one for looks, maybe consider something from Thermalright. Also, check out the Antec C7 case; it has a nice aesthetic and a standard ATX width, plus comes with a fan and an ARGB hub included, which your Corsair case doesn’t offer!
I appreciate the input! I really want the 360 AIO to future-proof myself, and I prefer the quality of a solid PSU. I’ve been eyeing the Arctic Freeze 3 Pro as an alternative cooler, and I noticed the Lian Li Vector 100R is £30 cheaper than my Corsair case. How would that stack up against the Antec?
