Hey everyone! I'm currently a Service Desk intern focusing on sysadmin work at a large startup. The environment feels a bit chaotic and we mostly communicate through chat channels. I'm trying to think of a project to work on, but as a sophomore, I don't have as much experience as my fellow interns. One is building a bot and the others are improving an automation system. I really want to make a good impression and hopefully get a return offer, but I just can't come up with any ideas. Have any past interns or full-time employees had interns create impressive projects? Any suggestions would be super helpful!

You mentioned that the documentation isn’t the greatest. What if you took the initiative to improve it? It might not sound flashy, but it could really help the team. If I were in your shoes and saw a new intern come in and clean up the documentation, I'd definitely consider them for a return offer!
That could work! I think the documentation is decent for those who have been here longer, but it wouldn’t hurt to make something for newbies. It just feels like a small project since we hardly get new hires.
