Hey everyone! I'm on the hunt for a straightforward and aesthetically clean calculator app. I really enjoyed using the Windows calculator because of its simplicity - the default mode is uncluttered and handles basic operations like addition, multiplication, division, and parentheses without any extra complexity. I'm aware of Qcalculate, but it feels a bit overkill for my needs. Do any of you have recommendations for a minimalist calculator that focuses on basic math? Thanks in advance!

If you want something different, have you tried KCalc? It’s pretty straightforward.
What’s your distro? If you’re on Plasma, the default application launcher can handle basic math without needing a full calculator app. Krunner can also manage these simple calculations.
Have you checked out gnome-calculator? It’s clean and does the basic math really well. Plus, you can customize it if you want something a bit more stylish.
Yeah, I’ve used gnome-calculator and it’s probably one of the best out there. Just wondering if there are alternatives that might look nicer, though. Maybe I should try theming gnome-calculator!
What about Speedcrunch? It can be quite simple or a bit more extensive, depending on your settings in the View options. You might find it fits your needs!
I'm on Arch with Plasma. I haven’t installed the default calculator yet, but I’ll definitely check it out!
