I'm building my first PC and I'm down to choosing a monitor. I plan to use a 7800X3D with a 7800XT graphic card and will mainly be playing FPS games like Valorant, along with AAA titles such as Nightreign and Black Myth: Wukong. I'm really aiming for a monitor that supports 1440p with a refresh rate of 180-240Hz, but I don't want to spend a fortune. Any suggestions for a good monitor within a reasonable price range would be greatly appreciated!

There's a lot of options out there! Just keep in mind that your GPU might limit you from reaching 240 FPS in every game. Honestly, for most players, 240Hz or even 180Hz might not be necessary—especially in FPS games. I have a gaming laptop with a 300Hz display, but I can't tell much difference compared to my desktop's 165Hz monitors. The jump from 60Hz to 144Hz feels way more significant!
Totally agree! There’s a ton of videos showing that a good GPU can push 240Hz at 1440p in many games, especially at competitive settings!
