Looking for Recommendations on a Gaming Monitor

Hey everyone! I'm in the market for a gaming monitor and could really use your advice. I'm aiming for a monitor that has great graphics and a refresh rate over 140Hz (not quite sure how that works, honestly). I'm looking for something ultra-wide, at least 34 inches, and preferably in white. I want to enjoy playing rivals and watch shows on it too—pretty much a complete gaming experience! Right now, I'm considering the 'SAMSUNG 34-Inch ViewFinity S65TC Series Ultra-WQHD' for $440, or the 'Deco Gear 49" Curved Ultrawide Gaming Monitor' for $545. I lean towards the Samsung because of the color, but I'm unsure if 34 inches will be big enough. Also, since I just want to play rivals and maybe stream, do I need to invest in extra hardware like a CPU and motherboard, or can I make do without them? Would missing out on that hardware affect my monitor's performance in terms of graphics and speed? Thanks a ton for any tips!

Going for an ultrawide monitor definitely requires a more powerful PC. It runs at a higher resolution than a standard 1440p, so you'll need a solid graphics card. I have a 9070 XT and even with some tweaking, I struggle to hit 160fps while gaming. You might find yourself under 100fps if you have to lower the graphics settings.
