I'm currently building my third PC and I'm looking to replace my GPU with an Nvidia card. My build includes an AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU and I'm considering the Asus PRIME OC Radeon RX 9070 XT 16 GB GPU, which I can get for $700. However, friends have suggested I switch to Nvidia, so I'm hoping to find something comparable to the RX 9070. Any suggestions would be appreciated! Also, I'm aiming for both performance and aesthetic since my last build was about 8-9 years ago. I've already purchased the CPU for $360 and the case for $103. Let me know if you have any ideas or alternatives!

While I see why you want to switch to Nvidia, you might want to think twice about it. The RX 9070 XT is a fantastic card for the price, and unless you specifically need Nvidia’s features, like CUDA for rendering, you might find better value sticking with AMD. Plus, if you keep an eye on sales, you might grab a deal on the RX 9070!
If you're looking for something comparable to the RX 9070 XT, I'd recommend checking out the Nvidia 5070 Ti. It's a solid match performance-wise. You could also consider an older 4080 if you can find one at a good price, though it won't have some of the newer features you'd get with the latest hardware.
Honestly, if aesthetics are important, go for what you like! The 9070 XT is still a strong contender in terms of performance. The Nvidia options tend to be pricier for similar performance, so keep that in mind. Also, if you're looking into a quality cooler, consider air over AIO for reliability. Just make sure you're getting good parts overall!
The 4080 Super is another option worth considering. It's on par with the 9070 XT, and users seem to love it. I recently paired it with my Ryzen 9800X3D, and I couldn't be happier!

Thanks for the suggestion! I’m really aiming for strong performance, so it’s good to hear you had a great experience with the 4080 Super.
