We previously used a program called WASP to track our assets and print labels, but after switching to a new IT service management system (Halo), my team has realized we no longer know how to print labels. Our labels consist of sequential numbers, a logo, and a barcode printed on Avery stock. While I could create something in Excel, I'm curious about what others are using for creating and tracking asset labels. Any suggestions?

For us, we have custom labels printed at a local shop. When we commission new systems, we get asset tags scanned by Lansweeper for asset management. We usually order about 200 tags at a time.
I just use Dymo labels with barcodes and sequential numbers. Each number gets linked to an asset in our inventory system. Keeps it simple!
Honestly, I don’t even bother with physical labels. I just maintain a SharePoint list that tracks assets and includes their serial numbers, which are unique enough as it is.
You might want to check out myassettag.com. It's super easy to design and order labels from them.
We've been ordering metal security labels online that are serialized according to our specifications. They last really well and are pretty reliable.
I've been getting our labels from Maverick Label for 15 years. They offer customizable designs and the durability is great. Solid choice if you need long-lasting tags.
