Looking for Recommendations on Mini PCs for Daily Linux Use

I'm transitioning to using Linux as my daily operating system and need some advice on choosing a mini PC. I've previously installed Linux Mint and Zorin on an older Samsung laptop, but the limited screen size made it unsuitable for daily tasks. Now, I'm considering a mini PC to handle office applications, teaching online courses via a browser, and general personal use—mainly YouTube. I've read a ton of posts and reviews about various mini PCs, but I want to ensure my choice minimizes hassle. Here are a few options I'm looking at:

- GMKtec Mini PC Ryzen 6600H
- Beelink ME Mini PC, Intel N150
- Beelink SER5 MAX Mini PC
- Beelink EQR5 Mini PC, AMD Ryzen 5 5500U
- GMKtec Mini PC Intel N150
- GEEKOM A5 Mini PC with AMD Ryzen 7 5825U

Can anyone recommend a standout choice or warn me about any to avoid?

Without knowing exact specs, I'd recommend looking for a mini PC with at least four cores for office applications. You also want more than 8GB of RAM and an SSD instead of an HDD for better performance. If you want seamless compatibility, you might find using Office 365 online helpful. Otherwise, LibreOffice should work well for your needs!

Great tips! I've started using LibreOffice and that seems to work for me. I’ll check what GPU my old laptop has since Mint and Zorin worked fine.

I've been running Kubuntu on an old ThinkPad for years. My biggest hassle was always the Nvidia drivers, especially with recent upgrades. I bought the Beelink SER5 MAX from your list and have had great luck with it—AMD chipset, 32GB RAM, and 1TB NVME storage make it a fantastic choice. Bluetooth and Ethernet work perfectly, and while I use a wired connection, I believe WiFi would be fine as well. I recommend checking Amazon for deals as I got mine for a great price recently!

Thanks for sharing your experience! I just watched some videos on the Beelink SER5 and added it to my wishlist. I'll keep an eye out for a price drop.
