Looking for Recommendations on Motherboards for My Ryzen 7 and 5070 Ti Build

Hey everyone! I'm planning to upgrade my PC and have decided to go with an AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D and a 5070 Ti, mainly because I love the streaming features NVIDIA provides. My gaming focuses on titles like WoW and cozy RPGs like Baldur's Gate 3.

My main use will be gaming, streaming, and some office work. I'm particularly looking for a motherboard that offers plenty of USB ports; my current setup has six at the back, all in use, so I need an upgrade with more rear USB ports and WiFi capability. I'm budgeting around £1,500 but can stretch it by another £100 if needed. I've been eyeing some Gigabyte models, and since I'm not into RGB lighting, that's not a priority for me. Any suggestions?

You might want to check out the MSI Tomahawk series; I've heard some great things about those boards. They cater well to gamers and offer strong features for streaming too.

Awesome, thanks! I'm currently using an ASUS Prime motherboard and am not too keen on the RGB stuff, so I’m looking for something a bit different.

Definitely consider the MSI Tomahawk or Mortar models. They provide solid performance and a good number of USB ports!

For your needs, I recommend looking into any B850, X870, or E series motherboards that are around £200. Most of those should come equipped with 8 or more USB ports, which seems like just what you need!

Thanks for that! What’s the main difference between the B850 and X870 boards? I’ve noticed that the X870 models tend to be pricier.
