I'm on the hunt for a good printer management system that can handle Scan-To-Email and Scan-To-Folder configurations across different manufacturers, particularly Konica and Ricoh. I recall someone mentioning a cloud solution before. What are you guys currently using?

Don't overlook the Windows Scan app available in Windows 10 and 11! It can be super convenient for scanning needs.

You might want to look at Vasion.com. They acquired Printer Logic, and once it's set up, users can add printers without tech assistance. The admin can easily troubleshoot issues and receive alerts if something goes wrong. I used it at my last job, and the tech support was solid.

Sounds promising! I appreciate the insight.

Yes, we also use Printer Logic (now Vasion) and it works great for our scan-to-email needs with SMTP 2 GO.

If you're looking for reliability, I highly recommend Kofax Control Suite. We integrated it with our Ricoh machines for follow-you printing and scan to email. It's been fantastic for reducing paper use and ensuring security since it only prints when you’re physically at the printer.

Have you checked out Papercut MF? It supports a wide range of copiers and could be a good fit for what you're looking for.

Papercut is a solid choice, or you could try Vasion Print. Both have excellent capabilities in managing printers efficiently.

If you have on-prem Active Directory, linking the printer using LDAP can work well. You can also do this with cloud using Entra Domain Services—most decent printers support LDAP, and it functions smoothly.
