Hey everyone! We've been using APC UPS systems for years, but I've grown increasingly frustrated with their recent subscription model. It seems like they require a subscription just to update the Network Management Card, and another for each server to use PowerChute, which feels unfair considering I've already paid for the hardware. I'm on the hunt for a quality UPS system that doesn't involve ongoing subscription fees. Any recommendations would be super appreciated!

Just a heads-up: steer clear of Minuteman! Their quality control is terrible, and we've had major issues with their units. It wasn't worth saving a buck – learned that the hard way!
Eaton's got my vote too! They recently acquired Tripplite, which gives them a wider range from residential to enterprise options now. I'm using their 5px1500 at home, and it’s been fantastic.
Eaton seems to be the common recommendation here! I can also vouch for the Eaton 5P 1500 UPS models. They've been trouble-free for us, and no subscription required!
Our main UPS setup is the Vertiv (Liebert) GXT5, and I can't recommend it enough. I've been surprised to see APC going with subscription fees – just not cool!
I've been done with APC for ages! We transitioned to Eaton UPS systems, and I've been really pleased with them. Their hardware is solid, especially for server setups.

Yeah, it's really disappointing to see a company make that shift after being reliable for so long.
