Looking for the Best GPU Upgrade Under 300 Euros

Hey everyone! I'm trying to find a new GPU since my temporary RX 5700 XT is starting to feel outdated for the games I'm playing. Last year I expected the new GPUs from AMD and Nvidia to lower prices in the used market, but they've only pushed prices higher. Currently, I'm considering options around 300 euros. On the Nvidia side, I see: 3070 for 240-250 euros, 2080 Ti for 250-260 euros, and 3080 (a bit above budget at 320-350 euros). For AMD, there's the RX 6700 XT for 220-250 euros and RX 6800 for 290-320 euros. There are also some new cards like the Intel B580 at 250 euros and RX 9060 XT 16GB at 340-350 euros. I mainly play racing games, VR, MMOs, and gacha games at 1440p 165Hz and would love to maintain over 60fps in recent titles. Is RDNA2 worth considering in 2025? How do the Nvidia cards stack up against them? Also, any tips on where to find good deals in Europe would be appreciated!

The B580 is definitely a good option if you can find it under 300 euros, but just be cautious if VR is a big deal for you, as it seems to have some issues there. If you're focused mainly on gaming performance, you might lean towards the RX 9060 XT if you can stretch your budget a bit.

Have you looked at the 6750 XT? Sometimes it’s priced close to the 6700 XT and could be a worthwhile alternative. Just something to keep in mind while you're browsing!

Totally! The 6750 XT can be a great bargain, especially if you're not fully set on other options.

In terms of pure raw performance, the RX 6800 is a better option compared to the RX 9060 XT if you're looking for longevity. If you're willing to invest a little more, you might be really happy with it in the long run!

That makes sense! The 6800 offers more future-proofing compared to the 9060, especially with demanding titles coming up.

I would suggest checking out the second-hand market for a 3070. I snagged mine for around 220 euros, and it's done wonders for me at 1440p. It might not support VR as easily as the B580, but it performs exceptionally in the games I play.

Yeah, the 3070 has been great for 1440p. Definitely worth considering if VR isn't a must for you!

If you're looking for great performance at 1440p, the RX 9060 XT would be a solid choice, especially if you're open to upgrading your CPU later. It's priced well and offers good value for the performance you get.
