Hey everyone, I'm trying to find a tool that can help with setting up automatic replies for some shared mailboxes we use. It would be great to have this feature because it would allow us to create unique auto-replies based on which shared mailbox receives the email. I'm looking for functions like customized messages for each mailbox, scheduling options, and the ability to control the frequency of those replies. Any recommendations would be super helpful! Cheers, Colin.

One simple solution is to create a new mail profile linked to the shared mailbox. In Outlook, you can set rules to auto-respond to every email that comes in. This way, you can include your automatic response right on the next screen!
You might want to start by using the built-in out of office features while you transition away from shared mailboxes.
For your needs, a strong CRM system could be the answer. It handles customer inquiries effectively and can provide the features you're looking for. Just keep in mind that auto-replies in Exchange only send once every 24 hours to prevent looping, so make sure you educate everyone on how that works if you go this route!
Check out Microsoft’s PowerShell documentation for setting up mailbox auto-reply configurations. It gives you flexibility depending on your needs! You can find it here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/powershell/module/exchange/set-mailboxautoreplyconfiguration?view=exchange-ps
I appreciate the suggestion! Just to clarify, I'm not looking to solve our team's broader issues right now; I'm just trying to tackle setting up these auto-replies.
