I'm considering making the switch to Linux and I'm looking for some good distributions. My main priorities are customization options and being able to handle gaming and browsing smoothly. Any suggestions?

If you can, give Zorin OS a try. It's beginner-friendly and has a low learning curve. You could also set up a virtual machine with Mint, Ubuntu, and even Fedora or Suse to compare them. I've found Zorin to be the most impressive so far.
I'd recommend trying out Pop!_OS. It's quite popular for gaming and has some great customization features that you might love.
It really depends on what games you plan to play since anti-cheat can be an issue. Bazzite and Nobara are both solid choices for gaming! Also, check out ProtonDB and AreWeAntiCheatYet for more info on compatibility.
Thanks for the tips! I’ll definitely check those resources to see what works best.
