Hey everyone! I'm considering switching from Windows 10 to Linux because I don't want to upgrade to Windows 11, especially since I heard support for Windows 10 is ending. I'm completely new to Linux and I have a couple of questions. First, I understand there are many different versions of Linux out there. Which one would be the most user-friendly and similar to Windows to make my transition easier?
Secondly, I rely on several programs for work: Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Paint Tool SAI 2, Adobe Animate, Sony Vegas Pro 17, and Aseprite. Will these programs work in Linux? If not, what can I do to run them? Is there a resource where I can check which programs are compatible? Thanks for any help!

Unfortunately, Adobe software won't run natively on Linux. Your best bet might be to set up a dual-boot with Windows, or you could try running a Windows virtual machine on Linux for Adobe tools.

That sounds complicated! I've never done anything like that before. Is Windows going to make my computer more vulnerable when running in that way?
