I'm currently working with a Ryzen 9 3900X and a GTX 1660 Super, and I'm hoping to upgrade both my CPU and GPU to mid-range options. My budget is around $800 to $900 for both components, although I might stretch it a bit if necessary. One thing to note is that I have a micro ATX case, so I can't fit GPUs with three fans. I'm considering either a 4070 or a 5070 but haven't decided on a new CPU yet. I also have a 1440p monitor, and I'm looking for solid performance!

Before diving into specific recommendations, could you let me know how much RAM you have and what your gaming preferences are? Like, what frame rates and graphics settings are you aiming for? Also, I’m curious about your motherboard since you mentioned upgrading it along with your CPU.
Sounds like you're planning a nice refresh! Since you’re aiming for 150+ fps on medium settings, consider a CPU like the Ryzen 5 7600. For the GPU, the 4070 should give you a great boost without breaking the bank. Just make sure your new motherboard is compatible with the CPU you choose, and you should be set!
Thanks for the tips! I’m definitely looking to pair the new CPU with a suitable motherboard and aiming for around 32GB of RAM to future-proof my setup.
