I've got an RX 5700 XT, but it hasn't been performing too well lately, and I'm considering an upgrade. However, I'm feeling a bit lost on my options and I don't want to spend over $500 just for a minor improvement. Could anyone suggest good options?

Just a heads up, AM4 refers to a CPU socket, so it won't limit your GPU choices at all. For a solid upgrade, you might want to look for a used 7800 XT or 7900 GRE. Those will give you a big boost!
You could also check out the RX 6700 XT or RX 6800 XT if you can find them used. They perform really well for gaming without maxing out your budget too much.
Before you decide, we need to know the rest of your system specs to avoid suggesting a GPU that your power supply can't handle. Just wondering, what games do you plan to play?
Sorry! Here are my specs: AMD Ryzen 7 5700X3D, G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series DDR4 3600MHz 32GB, and a 600W PSU. I mainly play games like Expedition 33, Elden Ring, and Helldivers, but I want them to run smoothly.
Thanks! I was confused about that since I have an AM4 motherboard.
