Hey everyone! I'm planning to upgrade my monitor, ideally one in white, but I'm totally new to this and feeling a bit lost. Could you help me understand what specs are the most important to look out for? I usually play fast-paced games like Overwatch and Rainbow Six Siege. Any brand recommendations or specific models you think I should check out? Also, is this the right place to ask? Thanks so much! ^^

It really depends on your rig and what you’re willing to spend. Personally, I aim for 240Hz and usually go for a 27" 1440p screen since it's a great balance, or if you’re considering 32", that’s awesome too if you’re going 4K. My go-to pick is usually an OLED from LG, but those are on the pricier side around $1000. Worth it if you've got a high-end setup though!

For fast-paced games, you definitely want a monitor with a high refresh rate—144Hz or even higher is ideal. It really depends on your PC specs though. A lot of gamers find 1440p to be the sweet spot, but make sure your graphic card can handle it! There are different types of panels too like TN, IPS, and OLED. I personally think OLED is the best, but they can get pricey. If you share your PC specs and budget, I could suggest more tailored options!

I’d recommend looking for a monitor with at least 120Hz for a smoother gaming experience, especially in shooters. Some models even have built-in crosshairs which can give you an edge in games. Not a pro myself, but it's worth considering!

If you have a budget of $300-$500, you can find a decent 1440p monitor with either 144Hz or 240Hz refresh that will serve you well for a long time. What GPU do you have? I use a 5060ti and it handles 1440p at about 250fps in R6, which is perfect for my 240Hz monitor.

I own an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650, so I’m not sure if I can push that high.
