Monitor Not Detecting Laptop – Need Help!

Hey everyone! My Acer K242HYL monitor has been working perfectly until today. I usually connect it to my laptop using an HDMI cable. However, today when I plugged my laptop back into the HDMI, the monitor didn't turn on right away. I turned it on, but it kept cycling through HDMI, DV, and another option before finally showing 'no signal' and the light switched to yellow. I've disconnected and reconnected everything, and I can hear the sound my laptop makes when it connects, but it still doesn't seem to recognize the connection. Does anyone have any ideas on what might be going wrong? Thanks in advance!

It sounds like the problem could be with your HDMI cable. Have you tried using a different one? Sometimes cables can fail unexpectedly, and a new cable might solve the issue. Let me know if that works!

I don't have another cable at the moment, but I can get one to test it out.
