Moving from Canada to the US as a DevOps Engineer: How’s the Job Market?

I'm a Canadian DevOps professional considering a move to the US. I'm curious if anyone here has made the transition recently and how the job market looks, particularly around New York. Also, what TN qualifications did you use for your move? Did you go with Engineer or CSA?

I get that joke may not land well with everyone, but the job market is seriously competitive! If you're skilled, it'll help, but keep your expectations grounded. Make sure you look into the TN visa qualifications—having clarity on whether you should be classified as an Engineer or CSA is key.

I’ve got to say, moving as a Canadian to the US is a mixed bag right now. My employer, which is American, has unfortunately laid off more people in the States compared to Canada recently. It’s tough out there, especially in tech. Just be prepared for some challenges!
