Hey everyone! I'm new to asking questions here and feeling a bit anxious about it. I really don't know much about tech stuff, and I've been having a lot of issues with my Alienware laptop that's less than a year old. At first, it was working like a charm for gaming and my schoolwork, but things have taken a turn for the worse. It started getting slow, and now it won't launch any games at all. Last night, after an update, it became super laggy and keeps freezing while I'm using Chrome for homework. I'm stressing out because I rely on this for school and have tests coming up. Does anyone have suggestions on whether I should get it checked out, or can I salvage it until the end of the semester? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Have you tried using a different browser instead of Chrome? It's known to use a lot of memory. Also, check if you have a lot of files on your C drive—it can really slow things down. Consider what kind of internet connection you're using, too. If it's Wi-Fi, make sure your signal is strong. And you might want to look into getting an antivirus program to check for issues as well. Starting with these simple things can make a big difference!
Thanks a ton for this advice! I'll experiment with other browsers and check my drive. Luckily, I've just upgraded my internet too, so that should help, and I'll definitely consider getting an antivirus—thank you!
