My Computer Only Boots to BIOS – Help Needed!

I'm not very tech-savvy, just know the basics about computers and gaming. My computer has been running fine until today when it crashed while I was entering my password. Now, it only loads to the BIOS screen and keeps looping back there every time I try to exit or reboot. There's nothing listed in the boot priority, and the BIOS frequently freezes, forcing me to restart it after a couple of minutes. Is there anything I can do to fix this, or should I just take it to a repair shop? This is really frustrating!

Have you tried doing a full shutdown by holding the power button? That worked for me last week when I faced a similar issue after a backup fail. Give it a shot and see if it helps!

It sounds like your hard drive, likely an SSD, might be failing. How common is that? I’ve only had this computer for less than a year, and my old SSD lasted over eight years without any problems!

While you’re in BIOS, check a few things: CPU temperature and your power supply. Given that you can’t see the drive in boot priority, you might want to boot from a Windows installation USB. If the drive shows up during the setup process, there might be an issue with the drivers. Sometimes NVMe drives shipped with faulty firmware can cause these problems, especially if Windows updates mess with the compatibility.
