Hey everyone! I'm having a tough time with my CPU running at 95-100% all the time. Most of my PC parts are over 10 years old, and I'm thinking it's time to upgrade. I know a bit about my components but honestly, the technical stuff can be overwhelming. My CPU is an Intel Core i5-4460 running at 3.20GHz. I have 16GB of DDR3 RAM and an Intel HD Graphics 4600 card. My motherboard is an ASUS Z97 Pro Gamer. The performance lags a lot during use, and while I'm not looking for the latest and greatest parts, I need recommendations that fit within a budget. Compatibility is a concern for me too, as I don't want to run into issues when purchasing new parts. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

To really tackle those performance issues, you might want to consider adding a budget graphics card like an NVIDIA GeForce 1050 Ti. It’s usually pretty affordable, around $60, and can give your system a nice boost. Also, a clean install of Windows might help clear up some bloatware that could be slowing things down. Good luck!
Honestly, it sounds like your best bet could be going for a whole new build. With a budget of around $200-$300, you could pick up a used PC that offers better performance than what you have now. Just keep your current setup as a backup if you can!
Location plays a vital role in determining what's available and affordable. Where are you based? It might help fine-tune your options.
I’m from Sweden! Shipping costs can often be more than the actual parts.
