I'm having issues with my EC2 instance. It just stopped responding and I can't SSH into it, even though its status says it's still running. I was able to stop and restart it as well. Could anyone shed some light on what's happening?

You can check AWS's service status through their Health Dashboard at this link: health.aws.amazon.com/health/status. It might help you figure out if there’s an outage affecting your instance.
It's tough to say if it's a widespread issue just based on your post. Can you provide more details? Also, have you checked the AWS Health Dashboard to see if there are any alerts for your region?

I've actually heard similar reports today. There seem to be some oddities in the U.S. East (N. Virginia) region where I'm noticing unusual traffic patterns. Might be worth checking to see if it's just your instance or a wider issue.
Yeah, I looked it up and there are some reports. Sounds like it might just be a temporary hiccup on their end.
