I recently discovered that someone created an Apple account using my email address without my permission. I received an email informing me that the password had been changed, and upon logging in, I managed to change the password once. However, shortly after, I received another email stating that the password and security questions were changed, and this time the questions were in Chinese, which I cannot understand. I contacted Apple support but felt like I hit a wall; they claimed there was nothing they could do to disable the account. Since then, I've received multiple emails about changes made to the account, including payment information. I am looking for a way to have my email removed from this Apple account since it feels insecure to have it linked to an account in another country. I've already taken steps to safeguard my finances by freezing my accounts, but this situation is still worrying me.

If you never created an Apple account with that email, it shouldn't be tied to your financial info. Make sure you've updated all your passwords, especially for your email and any related accounts.

I didn't have any financials linked to the Apple account either, but the emails I keep getting worry me. I'm forwarding them to report phishing just in case, even though it feels like it might not lead to action. It's frustrating that Apple support just suggested to ignore it!
