My Ethernet Connection Stopped Working on Windows 11 – Help!

I woke up my Windows 11 computer from sleep and suddenly the Ethernet connection just stopped working. It doesn't even recognize that there's an Ethernet cable plugged in! I've already tried uninstalling the driver, manually reinstalling a new driver, and toggling it in the BIOS. I even tested a new Ethernet cable and switched cables and ports on another PC, which all worked fine. I'm really stuck and need to get this fixed. Can anyone offer advice on what else to try?

When you mentioned trying a different PC, did you make sure to test the router ports as well? I once replaced my motherboard only to find out my router's Ethernet ports had issues. I was testing with the one good port while the others were dead.

Have you tried restarting your PC? I know it sounds simple, but it can make a difference, especially after updates.

What motherboard are you using? Sometimes specific brands can have unique settings that mess with connectivity. Also, have you checked for any BIOS updates? Sometimes that can help with hardware issues.

It's an MSI Pro B840-VC, and I just updated the BIOS too.
