My Hard Drive is Full, But I Can’t Find the Files Taking Up Space!

I've got a 500GB hard drive that's almost full, but I'm puzzled about where all the space is being used. I mainly use it for gaming on Steam, and the games only account for about 93GB. I've checked for other big files, like Microsoft Teams, but I can't find anything that could explain the 400GB that's missing. Can anyone recommend a program that can help me find and delete those hidden files? Thanks!

You should definitely try WizTree! It's a super fast way to see which files are taking up space on your drive. It works even better than WinDirStat. It'll help you clear things up in no time!

WizTree is your best bet! Also, don't forget to run Disk Cleanup. Make sure to remove all but the most recent restore point, just to clear out some extra space.

You might want to give Glary Utilities a shot; it does a good job of cleaning things up. It's one of many solid apps out there for managing files and disk space.

If you're using a Mac, check out GrandPerspective. It scans your drive and shows you where all your data is in sized blocks. It's super useful to figure out what’s eating up your space!

Thanks for the suggestion! I’ve been looking for something that visually represents my storage usage.
