Hey everyone, I'm having a serious issue with my hard drive. It's been slow for a while, but recently the startup time has gotten out of hand—it's taking about an hour to boot up! I had to uninstall some updates just to be able to log in, and even then, Windows Resource Protection found some corrupt files but couldn't fix everything. I saw the CBS log file for more details, and it's clear that I've got some issues here. I couldn't even go into safe mode, and startup repair didn't work either. Is this corruption the reason for my super slow startup? I could really use some help fixing this—it's been a nightmare since yesterday!

Just to clarify, are you using a traditional hard drive and not an SSD? If so, it's probably time for an upgrade. A slow boot can be directly linked to accessing the numerous files needed to load the OS. It sounds like you're facing a slowdown at that level.
Sounds like you've got some serious corruption going on. First thing's first, back up all your important files if you haven't already. Then check the health of your drive using a tool like CrystalDiskInfo. If that checks out, you might need to consider a clean reinstall to resolve the issues.
I'm currently running DISM, but it doesn't even show a progress percentage like others have mentioned. I think I might be in trouble!
Can you share a link for CrystalDiskInfo? I'd love to check that out.
Your HDD might actually be on its last legs. Definitely back up your data and think about replacing the hard drive since it's not worth the suffering at this point.
I'm running DISM now too, and it’s acting weird. But honestly, I've got nothing critical stored—just some game saves, so I think I can manage.
The slowness became an issue for me just recently, even though it’s been a bit sluggish in the past.
