I have an HP laptop that's been freezing randomly for a while now. The freezing can last anywhere from 30 seconds to 5 minutes, and sometimes it shows a message saying "hard drive disk error code 3F0: boot device not found." This has been quite a hassle since it's affecting my ability to use the laptop for various tasks. Here are some details about my system: It has an 11th Gen Intel Core i3 processor, 4GB of RAM, 238GB of storage, and Intel UHD Graphics. I also noticed that there's no option for legacy support on my device.

If pressing F2 didn’t work, it might help to try a different approach since the 3F0 error suggests a problem with the boot device. When the error appears, instead of just shutting down, consider connecting to external bootable media if you can. This could help in diagnosing or getting around the internal drive issues.

Hey! It sounds like you might need to check the health of your hard drive. Try turning off your laptop, then power it on and repeatedly press F2 to access the system diagnostics. Once in, go to System Tests and select the Storage Test for a Quick Test first. If it fails, your hard drive might be on its way out. If it passes, run the Extensive Test to dig a bit deeper.
