My iPhone 17 Pro Isn’t Charging Right—What’s Up?

Hey everyone! I just got my iPhone 17 Pro today, but it's having some charging issues. It charges perfectly fine with an Apple-branded USB-C wall adapter, but when I try using a non-Apple USB-C wall adapter with the same cable, it just won't charge. This other adapter worked fine with my iPhone 14 using a USB-C to Lightning cable just yesterday. I've also tested it with my car's Qi-certified 30W charger, but the USB-C to USB-C connection doesn't work either. The strange thing is, it does charge with a USB-A to USB-C cable on those same chargers, and it works with my Anker power bank too. I contacted Apple support, but they didn't have any solutions. Has anyone else experienced this? Any ideas on how I can fix it?

It sounds like a weird compatibility issue! Sometimes newer iPhones have specific requirements for charging via non-Apple accessories. Make sure your cables and adapters are fully compatible with the latest charging standards. You might want to try resetting your phone's settings or checking for software updates. That could help with the charging problem!

Totally! I’ve had the same issue with third-party stuff. It can be a hassle, but updating the software usually does the trick.
