I got really mad and ended up throwing my iPhone on the ground. Now it won't turn on at all! When I plug it in, there's no vibration or response, and I've tried hard resetting it by holding down the power and side buttons, but nothing happens. Before it went completely dark, I noticed some strange white spots on the screen. Do you guys think the battery's the issue? By the way, I can't remember if it's a 15 or a 16 model.

It sounds like more might be wrong than just the battery. The impact from throwing it could have damaged the logic board or even affected the soldering on the chips inside. Unfortunately, you can’t really determine the exact issue without opening it up and taking a look.
Honestly, throwing your phone and thinking it’s just a battery issue is a bit off. There's likely more damage than just that.
If you have insurance, you should definitely file a claim and pay the deductible. But if not, I'd be cautious about charging it. If the battery's warm, it might be at risk of failure or even catching fire. These phones aren't indestructible, and you learned that the hard way!
I noticed my phone was warm before I threw it, and it's still warm now. What could that mean?
