Hey everyone, I'm having an issue with my Acer Nitro 5 laptop. The battery is permanently stuck at 0%, no matter how long I charge it. The laptop works fine when plugged in, but it just won't charge. I've attempted changing battery settings, troubleshooting, and checking for driver updates, but nothing seems to work. Most people I've asked say the battery must be dead and needs replacing, but I'm hesitant to spend money if there's another solution. Any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks!

Honestly, it sounds like your battery might be broken. The charger seems to be keeping the laptop running, but if the battery isn't charging, it could just be acting as a connector rather than holding a charge. I think it's time to consider a replacement, even if it’s not what you want to hear.
I’m a bit confused regarding your battery situation. You mention it stays at 0% but that the laptop runs fine while plugged in. Does the charging light turn on? If it’s not on, that means your laptop isn’t charging the battery at all. That detail could help figure things out.
You might want to try this method: turn off your laptop, disconnect the battery, and then hold down the power button for about 30 seconds. Now reconnect the battery and try turning it back on while it's unplugged. It could reset something and help with the charging issue.
I’ll give that a shot tomorrow, thanks a lot!
Oh, sorry for the confusion! The laptop always shows 0% and only works if it's plugged in, so it shuts off when unplugged. The charging light is on but blinking orange—maybe that's a clue?
