I'm having a frustrating issue with my Gigabyte G7 GE Laptop. Every time I boot it up, it freezes on the Gigabyte logo. It even gets stuck when I try to access the BIOS or boot options. Here's what I've tried so far to get it working:
1. I swapped the boot SSD with another SSD. Now, I can access the BIOS, which is an improvement.
2. I ran the laptop with one SSD and one RAM stick at a time, but that didn't help either.
3. I reseated the CMOS battery to reset the BIOS.
4. I reformatted the boot drive and attempted to install Windows 11 using a USB drive, but it still hangs on the Gigabyte logo.
5. I tried the repair function, but no luck there either.
6. I'm considering flashing the BIOS, but I think it's locked.
As for possible reasons behind this issue:
- The battery is slightly bloated but still functional.
- The laptop had a fan replaced recently, and the technician used a fan from a different laptop.

It sounds like you've done a lot of troubleshooting already. One thing you might want to try is using a different stick of RAM, just to rule that out completely.
Just a heads-up, changing BIOS settings or messing with disk setups could lead to data loss, so ensure your backups are up to date. As for your situation, with the bloated battery, that could be affecting stability too. If you have access to another compatible BIOS chip, it might be worth a shot to see if reflashing helps with that boot issue.
Yes, I tried that, and it didn't make any difference.
